n. [Gr. pauros, little; stylos, pillar]
(BRYOZOA: Stenolaemata)
A type of stylet of cryptostomates with an irregular rod of nonlaminated material, with laminae weakly deflected toward the zoarial surface; usually smaller than acanthostyles.
